GenQA at BSGM Annual Conference
20th November 2026
Date: Friday 20 November 2026
Venue: Royal College of Physicians
Event: British Society for Genetic Medicine (BSGM) Annual Conference 2026
GenQA is pleased to be attending the British Society for Genetic Medicine (BSGM) Annual Conference 2026, bringing together professionals from across genetics and genomic medicine to share knowledge, discuss developments, and explore challenges in clinical practice.
Our colleague, Melody Tabiner, will represent GenQA and contribute to the session on variants of uncertain significance (VUS), presenting:
Variant classification is a complex and evolving area of genomic medicine, where uncertainty can present challenges for laboratories and healthcare professionals. This talk will explore how External Quality Assessment (EQA) can support the assessment and standardisation of variant classification, helping to promote consistency and confidence in the interpretation of genetic variants.
Through our work in EQA, GenQA supports laboratories in evaluating and improving the quality of genetic and genomic testing. The conference provides an opportunity to share insights, exchange ideas, and engage with the wider genetics and genomic medicine community on how EQA can contribute to consistent, high-quality practice.
Meet the GenQA team
If you’re attending the conference, we’d love to connect. Come and say hello to Melody and the GenQA team to discuss EQA, variant classification, and our ongoing work to support quality in genetic and genomic testing.
