2027 EQAs Now Open for Enrolment

We are delighted to announce that GenQA 2027 External Quality Assessments (EQAs) are now open for enrolment.

Full details of the 2027 EQAs, including the new and updated programmes, are available on our 2027 EQA page.

 

New and Updated EQAs

We have updated the content of several EQAs for 2027, including:

• Classification and interpretation of germline variants (2027VGC) – this EQA combines the previous Classification and interpretation of germline CNVs and Classification and interpretation of germline SNVs and indels EQAs into a single programme.
• Molecular Newborn Screening for SMA (2027NBSS1) – optional SMN2 copy number cases are now available to purchase.

 

Multiple Participation Now Available

Following participant feedback, multiple participation is now available for a number of 2027 EQAs:

• Colorectal cancer – MMR (MSI)
• DNA quantification
• Lung cancer – comprehensive (molecular)
• Lung cancer – fusions (molecular) and MET skipping
• Maternal cell contamination (MCC) & fetal sexing
• Melanoma
• Postnatal Constitutional Copy Number Variant (CNV) detection
• Preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic disorders (PGT-M)
• Prenatal Constitutional Copy Number Variant (CNV) detection
• Sarcoma
• SCID Molecular Newborn Screening (bloodspots)
• Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Molecular Newborn Screening (bloodspots)

Instructions for setting up multiple participation are available on the GenQA homepage once you have logged into your account.

We may extend this feature to additional EQAs where possible. If you are interested in multiple participation for an EQA not currently listed above, please contact us.

 

2027 EQA Discount Packages

We are also pleased to offer a range of discount packages for 2027. To take advantage of these offers, enrol in your qualifying EQAs by 31 January 2027.

 

Genomic and Inherited Disorders

• Enrol in 10 accredited Genomic and Inherited disorders EQAs
  Save £100 and receive Genomic MDT working for rare disease (MMDTR) free.
• Enrol in 15 accredited Genomic and Inherited disorders EQAs
  Save £250 and receive Genomic MDT working for rare disease (MMDTR) free.
• Enrol in 20 accredited Genomic and Inherited disorders EQAs
  Save £500 and receive Genomic MDT working for rare disease (MMDTR) free.

Haematological Neoplasms

• Enrol in 4 accredited Haematological Neoplasms EQAs
  Receive Classification of Haematological neoplasm variants (VHC) free.

Solid Tumours

• Enrol in a Colorectal cancer, Melanoma and Lung cancer EQA
  Receive Genomic molecular tumour board (MMTB) working EQA free.

Pharmacogenomics

• Enrol in 3 non-pilot Pharmacogenomics EQAs
  Receive Pharmacogenomics Panel EQA (PGXP) free.

Reproductive Genetics

• Enrol in 4 accredited Reproductive Genetics EQAs
  Receive Reproductive Carrier Screening (RPCS) free.

Enrol for 2027

The 2027 EQA price list and distribution calendar are available online. To enrol, please log in to your GenQA account.

Once enrolled, you can download a summary of your 2027 EQAs, including distribution dates and expected sample types. Go to:

Manage > Reports > EQA Enrolment Summary

Select 2027, then click Apply Changes to preview or download your report.
